Awareness Raising Social Media. Social media followings have remained fairly stable, Other Media.We were interviewed by ABC Great Southern radio on 2nd September following the DBCA media release about the recent Middle Island trapping results. A Major Publication. An article in Pacific Conservation Biology entitled From Rediscovery Towards Recovery: A recent history of Australia s most critically endangered marsupial, Gilbert s Potoroo by Tony Friend, Liz Sinclair and JackieCourtenay was published on February 6th, 2025. 2024 Threatened Species Forum. Our third Threatened Species Forum was held in Albany on 30th November and 1st December 2024. 57 people attended over the two days and 20 presentations were given by speakers from a wide range of backgrounds, Camera Trap Servicing. Servicing of the 30 feral predator monitoring cameras at Two Peoples Bay was carried out on 11th and 12th February with the assistance of two GPAG volunteers. Zooniverse. The batch of Cape Arid and Waychinicup images were finished in midOctober and were replaced with images from Two Peoples Bay. The first potoroo seen on a Zooniverse image was spotted soon after. Fundraising and Grants Containers for Change. $734 was raised in GPAG s last financial year from this source. Other Fundraising. A total of $3,128 indonations was received from members and supporters. 2019 State NRM Large Grant. The final report on the 2019 large State NRM grant has. been submitted. This was a major report covering 5 years of project and volunteer activities including 12 events, the publication of 12 newsletters, and 4 field projects on fungi, vegetation, intensive radio tracking of potoroos, federal predator camera servicing with DBCA and images through Zooniverse. The report also included a membership and donor strategy and a draft education package for the website. Our report was commended by the granting body as an excellent report with indepth information and supportive evidence . Grant by GPAG to DBCA. Funds donated to GPAG by members and supporters are kept in a separate account and are used exclusively to support Potoroo research and conservation, and activities which raise awareness of the species. This year, we gave a grant of $11,094 to DBCA for the purpose of purchasing tail transmitters and GPS Pods to monitor movements of Gilbert's Potoroos reintroduced into Two People's Bay since the fire of 2015
