The company's principal object is to promote the prevention and control of stroke and other disorders of the nervous system through the following activities: (a) To foster, support and actively encourage the study of and the acquisition, dissemination and application of knowledge and information concerning the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of stroke and other disorders of the nervous system; (b) To encourage, stimulate and aid in medical research relating to the prevention, management and treatment of stroke and other disorders of the nervous system; (c) To raise public awareness of the causes, prevention and treatment of stroke and other disorders of the nervous system; (d) To assist in the development and provision of support, alleviation of suffering or stress, and information for stroke survivors and their carers.
