Gelganyem Limited provided support to Traditional Owners of the Argyle Diamond Mine area by distributing funds from the Argyle agreement and undertaking negotiations and actions under the Indigenous Land Use Agreement ILUA and Management Plan Agreement MPA. Gelganyem Ltd continues to work closely with Rio Tinto Argyle Diamonds Limited to ensure the sustainable closure of the Argyle Diamond Mine within the East Kimberley Region by through facilitating negotiations between Rio Tinto and Traditional Owners. Gelganyem Ltd also operated a commercial seed collection business (GSO) to provide sustainable development for the organisation. The GSO also provides employment opportunities for indigenous people and traditional owners of the Gelganyem people on Gelganyem country.
