Gecko Environment Council Association Inc.

1. Continued raising community awareness for the urgent need to take action on climate change. Gecko partnered with other environmental organisations in the delivery of a public open day and Yarning Circle at Hinze Dam. This event also fostered relations with First National people Kombumerri People; presence at public events showcasing sustainability measures ordinary people can participate Botannical Bazaar; delivering communitybased renewable energy projects under grants; SEQ Urban Sustainability events 2 Delivering outdoor education to local school groups and visiting school groups from Japan. 3. Delivered Guest Speaker nights to the community on a range of environmental issues. 4. Made charitable donations to Currumbin Wioldlife Sanctuary, Wildcare Australia and funding support to Griffith University as an industry partner towards a PhD in Climate Change Action being pursued by Gecko's Environmentall Campaign Coordinator.
