Gallipoli Medical Research (GMR) is a research facility with foundations in enhancing the health and wellbeing of veterans and their families. GMR researchers and clinicians are committed to progressing innovative and high impact research that is targeted at improving future clinical and social outcomes for all Australians. The principal activity of GMR during the year was planning and implementing research projects and support initiatives aimed at enhancing the health and wellbeing of veterans, their families and the wider Australian community. Principal research projects addressed a range of physical health conditions such as liver disease, liver cancer and respiratory disease as well as mental health conditions. GMR's world first military transition tools support current and exserving defence members and have been recognised by the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide as quality resources.
