The Fleurieu Waldorf Education Association (FWEA) exists to foster and grow Steiner/Waldorf education on the Fleurieu Peninsula, creating a nurturing and holistic learning environment for children, families, and educators. Our work has made steady progress toward this mission through a combination of direct service delivery, community engagement, and longterm strategic development. Early Childhood Program Rosa Mundi: Our flagship initiative, Rosa Mundi, offers a Steinerbased early childhood program that embodies the core principles of Waldorf education respect for the rhythm of childhood, playbased learning, connection to nature, and warmth of relationship. This program has laid a strong foundation for future educational stages and built confidence in the community's desire for full Steiner schooling. Community Building and Parent Education: We have deepened community understanding and engagement through seasonal festivals, parent education evenings, and workshops. These initiatives foster a strong and committed community that shares a vision for an alternative, childcentred educational approach rooted in reverence for childhood and sustainability. Governance and Planning for Growth: FWEA has actively worked on strengthening its governance structures, land stewardship, and longterm planning to establish a full Steiner school. This includes developing strategic partnerships, applying for grants, and building administrative capacity to meet the requirements for school registration and sustainability. Professional Development and Networks: By connecting with other Steiner educators, schools, and peak bodies, FWEA has helped nurture a strong pedagogical foundation, ensuring any educational offerings are aligned with the highest standards of Steiner education. Through these interconnected efforts, FWEA has advanced its mission of providing holistic, highquality education grounded in Waldorf principles and made tangible progress toward establishing a full Steiner school on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
