The Foundation has all the objects, functions and powers set down in the Hospital Foundations Act 2018 and various other Acts of Parliament. The Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organisation that endeavours to assist the activities and services of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and more recently the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service.
