In 2024 we were able to provide approx 170 screening camps which serve as feeding centres for the most needy of cataract surgery. Approx 60,000 patients were examined and 12,500 surgeries were performed at the Ruby Nelson Hospital, or clinics in remote areas of the Punjab, in approved operating theatres in that location. All costs are free to the patients. Weekly postoperative followup clinics are organized in their own villages or nearby satellite clinics for the following six weeks. Approx 1900 of the surgeries were carried out as a direct financial assistance from Eyes for India Oceania.
