Environs Kimberley Incorporated

Our purpose is to protect the nature of the Kimberley. We work with Traditional Owners, community, broader civil society groups governments and industry to achieve our purpose. We worked on the ground undertaking Cultural and Natural Resource Projects in partnership with Traditional Owner groups, Aboriginal Rangers and the community to protect the globally significant environment of the Kimberley. In collaboration with Traditional Owner groups, we undertake biodiversity surveys, map vegetation, manage weeds and feral animals and support fire management. We also undertake native plant seed collection, revegetation as well as conservation planning, citizen science and naturebased publications. We ve worked on protecting the National Heritage listed Martuwarra Fitzroy River with Traditional Owners. Our awareness raising work of the problems with an expansion of fossil fuel projects in the Kimberley continues particularly as the impacts of climate change become more apparent. We continued to promote the global significance of the Kimberley s environment including the importance of sustainable development, the economic value of intact landscapes and its social and intrinsic importance.
