Enterprise Learning Projects

ELP empowers remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs to transform their communities through enterprise. We believe that entrepreneurism is the most powerful tool for remote entrepreneurs to effect change. Through business, entrepreneurs can share culture, expand their leadership skills, build resilience and selfdetermine their futures. Our two flagship initiatives the Incubation Program and Impact North Network are building a dynamic ecosystem that empowers entrepreneurs and strengthens communities. Our work is guided by the principle that when we invest in entrepreneurs, they invest in their communities. Through these initiatives we ve supported entrepreneurs to develop their skills, connections and access to opporunities, resulting in business growth and increased employment in their communities. We ve successfully advocated for policy change, with multiple funding bodies making modifications to better serve remote Indigenous enterprises. The greatest impact from our programs is on support for culture in business, developing confidence and feeling positive and motivated. This is fundamental for entrepreneurs to be able to navigate their business journey and is seen as our distinctive contribution to the sector.
