EPIC has made significant strides towards fulfilling its mission of empowering parents and carers to support their young people who are experiencing significant challenges. During this reporting period, EPIC has experienced measurable growth in membership, participation, and engagement. There has been a notable increase in peer support calls, inperson meetings, and community events like walks and coffee meetups. These initiatives, along with a steady rise in website visits and the success of our fortnightly email campaigns, have helped more parents and carers feel connected, informed, and supported. In February EPIC launched inperson peer support services, enhancing direct connections among parents and carers. Feedback from our community shows that these services have increased parents' knowledge of available supports, boosted their confidence in their parenting roles, and fostered stronger community ties. Parents report that they feel more connected and equipped with strategies to assist their young people, which aligns with our goal of empowering families. Our collaborative efforts with local schools, hospitals, police, and youth organisations have also grown, as evidenced by a rise in referrals from these sectors. These partnerships have helped expand awareness about the critical role that parents play as first responders in supporting young people facing mental health challenges. Furthermore, EPIC s increased visibility and trust within the Sydney North Region, bolstered by our inperson support initiatives, reflect a deeper integration into the community.
