The Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club (Eimeo SLSC) has a proud history of patrolling and providing a community service at Eimeo Beach and surrounding areas from Dolphin Heads to Bucasia. Eimeo is the largest surf club in the Whitsunday region, with membership of over 280 from nippers through to masters. The services provided by Eimeo SLSC are voluntary and range from emergency search/rescue, preventative programs to ensure beach visitors avoid danger (surveillance, safe swimming, shark warning, identification of rips, marine stingers), first aid treatment, and junior development activities like nippers. Our objective at Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club is to educate the community from children to adults, to be competent and safe in a beach environment. We also pride ourselves on being able to keep the general public safe by providing a beach that is patrolled through summer. To do this we rely on volunteer members to join us and become lifesavers, undertaking a range of awards and qualifications. Eimeo SLSC enables the community to enjoy the beach and our local area in a safe environment. The cost of providing this service is only possible thanks to the dedicated support of the community.
