The Edith Boyd Memorial Trust Fund supports Australian students in necessitous circumstances to undertake tertiary or vocational studies. Our support is directed to assisting these students complete higher education and to help build brighter futures. Our support includes assistance with educational costs including textbooks, stationery, internet access, laptops, other technology, tools of trade , accommodation, utilities and transport. We encourage and reward students for consistently strong academic results. To ensure students can gain relevant work experience, we also provide additional funds so students can undertake vocationally directed placements. Our Student Support Team have regular oneonone check ins with students. While their primary focus is academic progression, they also offer support and guidance, develop selfconfidence, acilitate motivation and aid in network building. We utilise robust assessment processes to ensure support is directed to those students whose needs are most acute. We evaluate the benefit of our support through regular checkins with students, academic results and eventual employment outcomes. Our overarching long term purpose is to ensure our students go on to enjoy long and fulfilling careers.
