Aboriginal Community Housing Investment Fund (Aboriginal Housing Office) The Eden LALC has been working closely with Twofold Aboriginal Corporation and the Aboriginal Housing Office to improve suitable housing stock for its members and community. The funds secured will see new homes built in the Eden and Bombala areas. We also received Development Application Support (Regional NSW) for provision of consultancy services for DA Prep for Maling Street Eden. Bundian Way Walking Trail Stage 1 (Regional NSW) The Eden LALC has been working through the complex planning requirements prior to the commencement of ground works. The first instalment of the grant funds has been received. These funds are for planning and development requirements, such as design, Aboriginal culture and heritage assessments, biodiversity assessments, review of environmental factors and other planning instruments. Aboriginal Land Negotiation Program (Capacity Building) (Crown Lands NSW) Coordination activities, survey, BD Assessment, Mapping and Training, Crown Road purchase land for development Maling St Eden. Regional Biodiversity Credit Obligation Trail (Department of Planning Industry and Environment NSW) The policy will be trialled with a number of sites and will include Application for reduced credit obligation; Development approval pathway and preparation of development application; Consultation with consent authority; Social, cultural and economic analysis to support application for reduced credit obligation; and valuing residual lands.
