Earth Learning Inc

In 2024, Earth Learning continued to operate in the nature/environmental restoration and education space and received a grant in June 2023 which had been extended into 2024 from the Queensland Airports Community Benefit Fund for a project to raise Key Local Flora Species in Currumbin Valley. Initial mature plants were distributed and planted at the Currumbin Valley campus of the Tallebudgera Outdoor and Environmental Education Centre in Spring 2024. Our members have also raised Arrowhead Violets and repotted Richmond Birdwing Butterfly Vine tube stock, maintaining them in pots to increase in size before planting them in their permanent locations as mature plants which a higher degree of survival. A fruitful series of discussions were undertaken with Watergum Community Inc, a larger ACNC registered entity operating locally (Burleigh Heads Queensland) to auspice and provide future support and administration of our small group in the future. Earth Learning also continues to maintain with volunteer support a public art mural located in a riverside park in Murwillumbah NSW which serves an environmental educational purpose.
