Eaglehawk Community House Incorporated

In the 2023/24 year the Eaglehawk Community House provided more than 3.791million dollars equivalent in support and services including $750,244 in activities improving quality of life through social connection; $586,396 in volunteer contributions; $2,352,894 in emergency relief and $101,859 in other services provided such as community lunches, art and craft classes, Pantry Bingo, gardening groups, Tai Chi, meditation. Additionally, we ran pre accredited hospitality including barista courses, intro to Horticulture, Digital literature essentials and digital literature for job readiness sessions. We held our very first Festival of Friendships (FOF 2024) welcoming and supporting multicultural groups to share food, music, song, dance, cultural dress and activities. Our FOF 2024 connected with the very established Dahlia & Arts Festival (50+ years old) which already welcomes up to 5000 visitors each year. The Dahlia & Arts Festival is the 2nd largest major event on the City of Greater Bendigo calendar each year. The ECH also has a meals program encouraging our volunteers to participate in designing, producing, cooking, packaging and coordinating our meals programs providing almost 1000 home cooked, healthy meals, many home delivered to some of our most vulnerable citizens.
