In 2024, Drukpa Australia effectively advanced its mission through a series of spiritual, educational, and community initiatives. Notably, from June 19 to July 14, His Eminence Gyalwa Dokhampa Rinpoche visited Australia to impart teachings on Green and White Tara, encompassing practices, retreats, and empowerments. This visit included a threeday Secret Tara retreat in Perth, fostering deep spiritual engagement among participants. On October 26, 2024, coinciding with Dakini Day, Drukpa Australia organized a Grand Tsogkhor and Tara practice to commemorate the culmination of 10 million Benza Guru recitations. This event underscored the organization's dedication to collective spiritual practices and community cohesion. Furthering its commitment to cultural traditions, the Annual Drolma Yudok was held on December 26, 2024, reinforcing the organization's role in preserving and promoting Himalayan Buddhist practices within the Australian context. The Young volunteers (YGD) wing under Drukpa Australia provided monthly support to the Perth Homeless organisation working alongside them on Sundays proving food relief. The community support for the sick and families seeking support for grief and loss continued as every year. Additionally, Drukpa Australia secured support through the Thriving Suburbs Program for the Drukpa Hall Project, aiming to transform an existing structure into a dedicated community space. This initiative reflects the organization's ongoing efforts to enhance community engagement and provide a venue for cultural and educational activities. Collectively, these endeavors in 2024 highlight Drukpa Australia's unwavering commitment to its foundational aims of promoting spiritual wellbeing, cultural understanding, and community support.
