Dromana Food Relief (Second Bite) under the banner of Dromana Community House, ending waste ending hunger. Provides over 180 individual families with food on a weekly basis. Provision of toiletries, knitted goods, clothing and food parcels, freshly cooked meals. Pop up street cart fresh vegetables, bread and baked items. We distribute frozen meals to local school, community and church groups. We have volunteers involved in the collection and distribution of food, strengthening our community. Our newsletter with over 260 subscribers is a resource for the vulnerable, helping them to get help with other Agencies and Professionals. Boomerang bags, connection with disconnected women providing education and skill building for potential return to work 900 bags per year produced to reduce the use of plastic wining the food relief program also reducing material going into landfill and modelling for the public. In 2025 we will be opening a Community Cafe and Training Kitchen which will provide a place to meet and enjoy healthy lunches at no cost Local schools are volunteering along side our volunteers under an intergenerational model.
