Disability Life Enrichment worked to enrich the lives of people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities and those impacted by mental illness by conducting or facilitating activities in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner at the facility known as Catalina Lake Front Retreat. Bringing these groups together creates opportunities to relieve the suffering, distress and feeling of helplessness, engaging them in social activities and group interaction to build their sense of community and achieve an enhanced sense of wellbeing; facilitating educational and vocational training programs to assist in entering into employment programs and integrate with the broader community; engaging with public sector and provide sector third parties the facilities to accommodate and carry out these activities.
