Our aim is to promote, publicise and preserve and encourage Australian design and designers is achieved through our mission to share the knowledge and expertise of global design leaders with emerging designers through education and training, exhibitions and conferences and special events. With covid many of our original programs had to adapt to new ways of connecting and sharing information. This led to the development of Beautiful Solutions. The IdeasonDesign Virtual Design Space which will become an opportunity to continue with programming that provides access to the skills and mentoring by design masters for the emerging design community. Instead of meeting these masters facetoface we are creating an an online interactive space that will be accessible on the web and built in the Unity 3D game engine. The second prototype is complete and ready for audience testing. This will allow young and emerging designers to explore design through the ages and from around the world and to share the experience in interactive and educational ways with other students, with the designers themselves and through guided tours with teachers and peers. The space will allow for gatherings and for conferences and shows. We have continued to support the professional development of the Mulka Studio artists in far north Arnhem Land by providing funding support towards the development of digital skills to enhance their creative practice in more contemporary modes.
