About Deafblind Association (NSW)
We provided support to adults with congenital rubella syndrome and deafblindness living in group homes who enjoy additional contact with the community through people who are able to Finger Spell or communicate using alternative signs and speech and braille for those with hearing and vision impairment. Regular contact showing interest in people with deafblindness or hearing loss and low vision makes people feel valued and interested in the world outside of their group home.
