Our charity has been doing awareness building focusing on the social and/or economic disadvantages which women can experience during their careers with a focus on environmental, marine industries (e.g. science, ecotourism etc). This has enabled more people to be aware of these issues, and in some instances support our work financially as a result. Through our international partners (see below), funds have been supporting direct experience and training to women who have interest in experiencing or pursuing training in marine industries. This provides direct support to individuals, but also provides 'inspiration' to communities who have otherwise *not* seen women excel in these spaces.
