About Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation Limited
The vision of the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation (DAAF Foundation) is to provide vibrant and exciting platforms for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture with a reputation for innovation, diversity and cultural integrity. DAAF Foundation is owned and operated by a membership of 90+ Indigenous Art Centres and peak bodies. The organisation encourages the production of First Nations art and design and assists with its promotion in an ethical business environment. It is committed to professional development opportunities for artists, Arts Workers and fashion industry creatives, and to continually contribute to their cultural aspirations. Each August, the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (DAAF) showcases the work of emerging and established artists from more than 75 Indigenous Art Centres from across Australia. These Art Centres collectively represent more than 1,800 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. The event generated $4.38 million in sales. DAAF Foundation s Indigenous Fashion Projects (IFP) program supports First Nations Australians working in textiles and fashion with a range of development programs, resources, mentoring opportunities and promotional events. It is the home of Country to Couture and the National Indigenous Fashion Awards. Please visit www.ifp.org.au for more information. DAAF Foundation has been developing an online community of practice which will be known as the Indigenous Arts Hub, and will launch in 2025. It will include learning opportunities for artists, designers and Arts Workers to expand their skills in event preparation, and marketing and sales. DAAFF is very proud to share its 2024 Annual Report: https://daaffoundation.org.au/ Please visit www.daaf.com.au and www.ifp.org.au for more information about how the DAAF Foundation achieves its charitable purposes.
