Dancehouse is Australia s only presenting and producing house dedicated solely to the yearround presentation of dance by and with independent dance artists and communities In 2024, Dancehouse was a centre simultaneously for artists/ communities, audiences, the artform and the sector. We provided opportunities to the independent dance sector by offering residencies, training, presenting opportunities, and other contexts to engage and expand audiences, form connections and collaborations locally, nationally and internationally, and nurtured dance as an art form. Dancehouse services a wide variety of professionals, practitioners, communities and audiences who come to Dancehouse to take a dance class, see a dance show, or engage with dance artists.
