The Primary purpose of the Cygnet Community Children s Centre is to provide centre based Early Childhood Education & Care and Out of School Hours Care to the families of the Cygnet and surrounding communities. Our childcare service range from long day care, short day care, morning, afternoon or hourly care, plus vacation care. a. This objective will be met through holding the Provider Approval for the service currently known as Cygnet Children s Centre. b. The Association provides an inclusive, responsive and equitable service that works actively to help children & families achieve healthy, fulfilled lives without barriers. c. The provision of these services complies with relevant standards and legislation pertaining to the care of young children, the administration of government funding and the employment of staff. Children are supervised by qualified early childhood educators and the centre is managed and equipped with all the facilities required to comply with National Quality Standard for Early Childhood Education and Care plus School Age Care. The centre complies with and maintains a Certificate of Registration of Food Business in relation to managing lunches and snacks for the children. The children are engaged in a variety of art, music, story reading, group and individual play, growing vegetables, supervised food preparation education, learning about different cultures including indigenous culture.
