Cowan Public School P&c AssociationRegistered

Our primary method of pursuing our charitable purpose is engaging the school community in fundraising activities. In the last financial year, we successfully organised and ran several popular events that brought together families and local businesses, raising essential funds while fostering a strong community spirit. We also provided children and families with fun, affordable social activities while generating funds. Indigenous artwork was created by a respected member of the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community to update and provide new sports shirts for all students and teachers. This updated the school sports uniform to a modern, culturally appropriate design. We also purchased the school's first iPhone, which allows payments to be made electronically, which had not been enabled previously. This device is now utilised at all events and fundraising activities, providing an additional method of payment and, in turn, raising greater funds. We also purchased new basketball hoops for the school, totalling $7153.66. The new hoops provided strong, safe sporting equipment for the students and local community to enjoy.
