About Council To Homeless Persons
CHP continues to focus on contributing the expertise of the specialist homelessness sector (SHS) in support of the Victorian state government's work ending homelessness through the provision of housing that the most vulnerable can afford and the support needed to both gain and sustain tenancies. Our Homelessness Advocacy Service (HAS) supported improved outcomes for many living the experience of not having a home; and our Peer Education and Support Program (PESP) advocates contributed their lived experience to government service developments as well as everything done by CHP. CHP also provides training to the sector through the SHS Learning Hub as well as capacity building. Ten editions of our national homelessness publication Parity are delivered each year.
