Through the holding of state CPD meetings, facetoface workshops, nationwide online short courses and webinars, the email distribution of Information Sheets and newsletters and the provision of clinical journal subscriptions and a nationally accredited training course, our College was able to educate its members and nonmembers. As a consequence evidencebased practice methods were demonstrated and by doing so, we believe this contributes to highstandard healthcare delivery to the public. Membership and Education Committees support members to meet the state and federal regulatory body guidelines, to understand and keep up with revisions. This flows through to the public as quality care. Guidance on holding of adequate and appropriate medical indemnity cover, and how to follow best medical practice is given. Opportunities for peerassessment is offered. Members are assisted with selfevaluation. Guidance on further development is offered. Public and media enquiries are responded to. Media releases are issued to help educate the public, other associated healthcare providers and industry stakeholders where patient safety is paramount.
