Congolese United for Peace and Reconciliation in Australia

We provided counselling and support to newly arrived congolese australians helping them get established in the community and connected to supports. We held regular community meetings bringing together groups from different tribes who were in conflict in the congo, helping them to reconcile and work together in peace, and contribute to their shared goals. We established a youth soccor program to bring children and families from all cultural backgrounds to bring people together to strengthen community relationships and prevent social isolation.
