Computing Research & Education Association of Australasia (Core) IncorporatedRegistered

In 2024, CORE continued to advance its mission by supporting the professional development of computer science and information technology academics in higher education and research. Through the organisation of Australasian Computer Science Week (ACSW), CORE provided a platform for presenting research, mentoring PhD students, running professional development workshops, and facilitating networking across institutions. The association maintained and expanded its wellregarded conference ranking system, which supports academic benchmarking and transparency. CORE also actively contributed to national policy discussions by preparing submissions to government bodies and participating in Science Meets Parliament through Science & Technology Australia (STA). Its annual awards program recognised excellence in research, teaching, and service, further promoting leadership in the field. Throughout the year, CORE continued to collaborate with peer organisations and foster a strong, informed community of computing professionals across Australia and New Zealand.
