Our commitment to fostering meaningful work, career, and personal development opportunities for young people in regional communities is at the forefront of all that we do. Across the Riverina Murray region, COMPACT continues to provide a broad range of services and programs to young people, schools, industry, and the community. We cater to the major centres and surrounding rural, regional, and remote towns to ensure young people have access to programs and services. Our management and staff collaborate closely with local businesses, industry, education providers, government agencies, and community organizations to support regional people in achieving their career aspirations. COMPACT s vision is: Connecting People, Education, and the Workplace to Promote Successful Futures. To achieve our vision, the Board and team have set the following missions in place. Promote, enable, and support meaningful Workplace Learning. Develop and embrace partnership opportunities with organisations that share common goals and values. Identify opportunities for tailored programs that complement the organisation s goals and expand its stakeholder reach. Provide a positive and professional team environment. With COMPACT head office centrally located in Wagga Wagga, our team members are also located in offices in Albury, Griffith and HardenMurrumburrah. This year, we proudly created a new initiative, with RAAF Wagga, REX Airlines, BAE and Pennant International to support 100 students from 17 regional High Schools to spend the day seeing what STEM careers are available within the aviation prescint in Wagga Wagga. We also took the opportunity to delevel a STEM carrers day via VR technology to students at Billabong High school in Culcairn and Albury High School. In partnership with Safework NSW and FairTrading NSW. Skills for Life Workshops were designed to minimise harms experienced by young people and were successfully delivered to almost 200 students in regional centres of Griffith and Young. Overall themes include Work Health Safety, Consumer Safety, Workplace Psychological Safety, buying your first car, preparing for work and financial literacy. Positive feedback from schools and students supported the need for more COMPACTled events. As the Work Placement Service Providers for NSW Education, our team facilitated 1934 workplace learning opportunities for HSC students, undertaking a VET course, enabling them to complete their Cert I/II/ III qualifications. Additionally, our team of Work Pathways Coordinators connected with local business to recruit 320 new employers and 1188 employers in total across a range of industry areas to the Workplace Learning Program.
