About Community Transitions
OARS CT provides high quality benevolent professional support services to disadvantaged individuals at risk of offending and struggling with poverty, those currently engaged with the criminal justice system, exoffenders, and their families. Support options include accommodation case management, individual and group drug and alcohol counselling and support including peer worker support, support to family members affected by a loved one s alcohol and/or drug misuse, individual and group gambling counselling, and support. Further to this , OARS CT provides direct service opportunities in early intervention for men who use violence/controlling behaviours, or are concerned about their behaviour, with the intention of reducing offending and victimisation, and protecting and promoting the safety of women and children. These support options collectively achieve the objectives of the charity by reducing barriers for reintegration and thereby reducing offending, including victimisation.
