Through our Community development framework, CMRC is committed to combating social exclusion, poverty, disadvantage, and discrimination. Social inclusion is promoted through providing support to the development of individual capacity, and building community capacity to generate social, economic and democratic activity and opportunities. We aim to strengthen the capacity of people as active citizens through their community groups, organisations and networks. We also build the capacity of local agencies to work collaboratively with clients to shape and determine change in their communities. CMRC continued to support programs that are solutionoriented, address root causes, are community based and create leadership opportunities for refugee and emerging communities. The programs include grantee support through technical assistance, training, and leadership development programs serving communities. Our approach combines engagement with diverse groups to ensure all voices are heard with rigorous quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Focus is to build links between community members, assist individuals and communities to participate in community life and activities to increase community knowledge and use of available resources
