CJSSA is a community legal service that provides free legal help to the community. CJSSA provides access to expert assistance and support to resolve legal/social problems, to have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of individuals and to build capacity to contribute to their community. CJSSA ensures it is directing its resources for the greatest benefit and enhance services and better target programs through the ongoing evaluation of legal/social needs. CJSSA provides information and referral, community legal education, legal advice, mental health support, Family Law advocacy and ongoing assistance and court representation where appropriate at no cost to eligible clients who cannot afford to pay a private solicitor and do not qualify for a grant of legal aid. The Yellow Gate The Southern Hub commenced operation in January 2024 will deliver traumainformed care, services and programs in partnership with local organisations for the prevention of, and recovery for, women experiencing FDSV, regardless of age, social and cultural background and sexual orientation. The Southern Hub will offer both a dropin service and services requiring a referral.
