In this report period, we provided 31,668 hours of social services and 3,066 transport trips to elderly people, women and families from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, almost all of whom were financially and socially disadvantaged. We engaged with 1,333 people and over 52 organisational partners. The year of 20232024 provided some highlights as below: Social Support and Transport Program: Provided 16,714 hours of social services and 3,066 transport trips to 170 older Australians and people in need under the Commonwealth Home Support Program and beyond. Family Support: In collaboration with Connect Marrickville Schools as Community, we provided 1,200 service hours to support 10 Vietnamese families in the Inner West. Women s Support: In partnership with Leichhardt Women s Community Health Centre, we delivered 1,666 hours of emotional support and mental health and wellbeing activities to 60 vulnerable women from CALD backgrounds. Supporting Newly Arrived Migrants in the Inner West LGA: Assisted 84 newly arrived Nepali and Vietnamesespeaking migrants by providing 6,552 hours of services to reduce social isolation, foster connections, and support their smooth settlement. Community Education and Engagement: Engaged 799 CALD community members through various initiatives. Gambling Education and Awareness Project: We collaborated with 15 partners to implement gambling harm awareness initiatives for three multicultural communities Nepali, Portuguese, and Vietnamese speakers. During this reporting period, the team conducted nine community workshops and forums, engaging 188 participants. Additionally, 665 Gambling Harm HelpSeeking Resource cards were distributed to interested individuals.
