About Common Ground First Nations LTD
In 2024, Common Ground First Nations deepened our impact through storytelling, community connection and capacitybuilding. We launched our 2024 2030 Strategy, setting a strong foundation for the years ahead, and celebrated five years of First Nations Bedtime Stories a flagship project that continues to inspire children and families across the continent. We brought together nine storytellers for our third Creators Circle gathering, a weeklong program of workshops, connection and creative development. We collaborated with Beck Cole for SHE DIRECTS, a firstofitskind directors lab for First Nations women and genderdiverse aspiring directors, and delivered Grounded Story, our first grant round supporting three creatives to bring to life projects responding to the theme Spirit. During NAIDOC Week, we launched a digital learning campaign and resource paying tribute to the theme Keep the Fire Burning, highlighting its historical connection to the Aboriginal Tent Embassy and ongoing resistance. We also released our second series of Dreamy a mindful audio series written and narrated by First Nations storytellers supporting audiences to rest and reconnect with Country. Across the year, we worked with over 130 First Nations storytellers, reached more than 9.8 million content impressions, and directed over 80% of our funding to First Nations communities.
