About Cobra Conservation Foundation Limited
This is strategically located land for biodiversity conservation and restoration purposes. It is between two national parks and has various elements of remnant vegetation of riparian, sclerophyll forest, and rainforest gullies and grasslands where regeneration is expected from. The land has some natural borders from the Myra Creek and the Curricabark River. It provides an important wildlife corridor between the Woko National Park and the Watchimbark National Park and the Curracabundi National Park. Since the purchase of the land, flora and fauna surveys identified 131 species of birds, 12 species of mammals including the endangered brushtailed rock wallaby and several reptiles and amphibians. The botanist survey initiated by the Mid North Coast Council identified several species, which cannot be found elsewhere beyond a kilometres of radius from the property and described a new, previously unknown daisy species. I have also collaborated with the local indigenous groups to provide opportunity on the land for practical cultural burning training.
