Chunky Move delivered another huge year of activity in 2024 including new work creation and presentation, local and regional workshop activities, our yearround studio program and touring. Highlights included the World Premiere of Artistic Director Antony Hamilton s 'You, Beauty' at Melbourne s grand Immigration Museum as part of RISING Festival, further stage development on our international collaboration 'U>N>I>T>E>D', the continuation of our First Nations youth school holiday workshop program in regional Victoria and a six stop, six week tour to the UK and Europe with our 2023 critically acclaimed major work '4/4'. Operationally, the company delivered a sound year of financial management resulting in a year end surplus of $10,741. This was in line with forecast projections and a result of tidy management and strategic budget recalibration throughout the year. The Board note pleasing increases in earned income (up 75% on 2023) through the successful planning and producing of the '4/4' tour and through the company s steady but credible focus on building philanthropic income (up 74% on the previous year).
