Christmas Hills Landcare Group

In 2024 the CHLG ran eight community engagement and learning events. These events helped landholders learn about native flora and fauna observed locally during 2023 local grasses, weed control, traditional burning, tree hollows as habitat, healthy soils and pastures for horse properties, a lyrebird documentary screening, orchid pollination and propagation, and bird watching and identification, and what they can do as Christmas Hills landholders to support these. The CHLG continued its ongoing program of helping landholders use motionsensing cameras to detect some of the wildlife that lives on their properties, as well as continuing our longrunning woody weed control project to improve habitat quality on private land.
