The charity s purpose is to assist and support Russian refugees, immigrants, and their families to integrate into Australian society by providing for their diverse social, educational, religious, and cultural needs, while fostering community connection, wellbeing, and cultural inclusion. Resources during the year were applied towards cultural functions, Jewish festival celebrations, Russian and Hebrew school programs, youth programs, adult education activities, synagogue and religious services, maintenance of a bilingual library, newsletters and community communications, counselling and welfare support, weddings, funerals, circumcisions, home visits, visitation of elderly and isolated individuals, and translation and assistance services. These activities were undertaken in furtherance of the charity s objectives of education, welfare support, cultural preservation, social inclusion, and community development.
