The Centre for Migrant and Refugee Health (CMRH) advanced its mission by addressing the mental health and social wellbeing of disadvantaged families, parents, and young people through holistic and culturally sensitive programs like SoberMinds Mental Health Services (MHS). These services offered confidential counselling, telehealth, mental health assessments, health screenings, and community education, delivered by accredited professionals. Complementary initiatives, including the SoberMinds Talk Series, research, policy support and advocacy, sports and recreation programs, multicultural science tutorials, and social cohesion activities like social justice awards, fostered inclusivity, resilience, and empowerment, enhancing the lives of migrants, refugees, and people seeking asylum across Australia.
