In 2024 we delivered over 100 events across Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Warrnambool, Kyneton, Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula. Programming highlights included Roxane Gay, Bonnie Garmus, Rebecca Yarros, Plestia Alaqad, Stan Grant, Helen Garnerand Darcy Moore. We also delivered another season of Spring Fling delighting audiences throughout October with events featuring Gina Chick, Virginia Trioli, Ben Shewry, Tony Armstrong and Andy Griffiths. We launched an exciting four year plan, setting ourselves the bold ambition of delivering Storytelling for Everyone, Everywhere, and we kicked off a major fundraising campaign to support our public programming and expand our development programs, which have a proud history of advancing the careers of many acclaimed Australian writers. We also delivered the Victorian Premier s Literary Awards on behalf of the Victorian Government, with Grace Yee becoming the first poet to take out the $100,000 Victorian Prize for Literature, with her stunning debut collection Chinese Fish.
