Care Beyond Cure Limited

Care Beyond Cure Ltd with the support of the Tasmanian Department of Health, continue to evolve the fortnightly Health and Wellbeing programfor individual with a progressive life limiting illness and their family carers. This program is the foundation of CBC s Compassionate Communities. After seven years of operation and following a review of the weekly Community Coffin Club, it was decided to close the program in its current format. It was revamped and is now held fortnightly providing a social and educational space for all community members with a focus on caring, dying, death or grieving. The dementia specific carers peer support 'Weavers' program has now ceased taking referrals but will continue to support current families. Jumave continues to be an income stream option benefiting Tender Funerals Tasmania. Care Beyond Cure Ltd continues to work with Tender Funeral Australia in their quest to establish their notforprofit Model of Care. This will offer a greater choice for all Tasmanians with a focus on addressing funeral poverty when established.
