CCC delivered a range of communitydriven conservation, cultural, and advocacy programs focused on biodiversity, First Nations leadership, environmental education, and campaign delivery. Major achievements include: Relaunching the Biodiversity Your Life Depends On It campaign with a public event hosted at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre Expanding our Youth SubCommittee, supporting young leaders to participate in advocacy, restoration, and public education Delivering onground cultural and ecological restoration projects in partnership with Woppaburra People on Konomie Island Leading community cleanup days and events with Capricorn Coast Eco Warriors and Coral Watch Supporting a research project on koala habitat on Woppa (Great Keppel Island) with Woppaburra guidance Cohosting a series of climate change and biodiversity workshops with Lock the Gate and other partners Publishing and promoting environmental submissions on state and national reforms, including on the EPBC Act, crocodile conservation, and renewable energy regulation CCC also made significant investments in staff development, financial governance, and longterm strategic planning, including the formal transition of the Coordinator role to Executive Officer.
