Camden Baptist Church Inc

Our activities remain exactly the same as for last year viz. Through the Cafe (Pomegranate Place) we provided affordable meals and, more importantly, a meeting place for community members. We collected excess bread and other bakery items from a local bakery and offered this free of charge to our customers twice a week. Excess bread also was given to a local child care centre and to a local community centre for distribution or use. Our Op Shop offered bargain priced clothing and goods, The community has embraced this place in terms of volunteering and patronage. We also provided funding for the Vulnerable Children's Fund which is part of Baptist World Aid and provided funding for Baptist Care SA. We collected imperishable grocery items from customers and our church congregation and gave them to Baptist Care SA which distributes them to needy people, Many items donated to the Op Shop (such as blankets and sleeping bags) also find their way to BCSA.
