Cairns Indigenous Art Fair LimitedRegistered

Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) continues to deliver on its mission by providing dynamic platforms for cultural exchange and economic opportunity for Queensland s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. Through its annual fourday event, CIAF showcases the depth and diversity of First Nations arts and cultures, creating meaningful engagement between artists, audiences, collectors, and industry stakeholders. CIAF s program is designed to reflect and amplify its core aims. The curated visual art fair is surrounded by a rich array of traditional and contemporary performances including music, song, dance, theatre, fashion, and workshops that celebrate cultural expression and foster community connection. This holistic approach ensures that CIAF is not only a marketplace for art but also a space for storytelling, learning, and cultural pride. By featuring a wide crosssection of Queensland Indigenous art forms, CIAF occupies a unique position in the national arts landscape. It strengthens cultural identity, supports artist development, and contributes to the broader recognition of First Nations voices. In doing so, CIAF plays a vital role in advancing cultural understanding and economic empowerment across Queensland and beyond.
