Byron Aged Care is a notforprofit, communitybased, nondenominational aged care facility offering its muchvalued residents professional and loving care in a homelike setting. Catering to all levels of care, the facility provides single ensuite rooms, ageing in place, permanent accommodation, respite care, dementia support and palliative care. In addition, Byron Aged Care offers APHRA registered staff 24/7, keypad coded entry to the home, transport and assistive devices for people with all levels of mobility. Byron Aged Care residents are able to design their own daytoday schedules and continue their usual, and generally well established routines. Residents are both encouraged and supported to assist with daily chores, such as gardening, preparing some meals, and are involved in their own decision making process as much as possible. Importantly, the residents enjoy freedom of movement in a safe and secure environment.
