Community Connector; providing support regarding referral pathways to services you might need but not be aware of, social support, a friendly ear you can trust and someone who will walk with you on your journey from crisis to wellness. Free community meals weekly cooked out of our inhouse commercial kitchen, by a team passionate about providing good home cooked meals. Free office services, access to computers for the community and free phone calls to family, friends & anyone you need within Australia. Vinnies Van providing food at the Burnie Community House car park and providing referrals to other community services and government agencies. North West Legal service appointments hosted at Burnie Community House. Capacity Building of The Essentials, Skills and Community Access to Supervised Driving Sessions via the Driver Mentor Program. Build your independence by getting supervised driving time. Curious Chefs provides people with cooking and kitchen skills, make healthy, home cooked meals that the entire family can enjoy. No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS) applications can be submitted at Burnie Community House, for those eligible you can get an Essential loan of up to $2000 for the things you need, without needing to worry about interest or fees. Building literacy for both children and adults with the 2610 Adult Literacy Program and B4 Coalition Early Years Literacy Program. Preventative gambling program developed and delivered at Burnie Community House (Risk and Resist). Engaging with Community for The Start of the Rest of Your Life Connect with other community members, build your network in a safe space around people you know. Family and Child friendly events are held during the year with things for the kids to do with family during the school holiday. Various community groups held at Burnie Community House. French Reading Group, Men's Community Hub, Kommunity Kids, and more to engage both yourself and your children. At the Community Garden, interact with other community members and learn to grow your own food here and at home. Spaces available for family access visits, or our shared spaces in the Hilltop Cafe where you can sit, be safe and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Youth Unlimited programs for placebased youth development to provide learning through connection and participation. Host to other community service providers and their programs on a regular, ongoing basis that can expand, develop and create life skills
