About Broulee Surfers Surf Lifesaving Clubinc
Broulee Surfers Surf Life Saving Club (BSSLSC) advanced its mission in 2024 25 by combining excellence in lifesaving, education, and community engagement. Patrollers logged over 6,000 hours, performing 32 rescues and more than 500 preventative actions, ensuring no lives were lost on patrolled beaches. Education was central, with 29 Bronze Medallions, 24 Surf Rescue Certificates, and extensive requalifications achieved, strengthening rescue capability. More than 300 children participated in thriving nippers programs at Broulee and Canberra, developing surf skills, safety awareness, and friendships while creating pathways into patrol teams. The club also excelled in surf sports, finishing third at the NSW Country Championships a record result and winning multiple regional trophies, fostering pride and participation. Community connection was strengthened through events like the Bay to Breakers Ocean Swim and school programs, which raised vital funds and awareness. Through lifesaving, training, sport, and outreach, BSSLSC fulfilled its aims of safety, education, inclusiveness, and community service
