Broken Hill Historical Society IncRegistered

The Broken Hill Historical Society Inc. was formed in 1965, and is responsible for four museums. These museums preserve the material history of our region. It enables the broader community to experience the richness of our unique past and inspires interest, research and participation. Each of the four museums holds much history of the area, namely 1. gaol museum, 2. school museum, 3. Synagogue, the Ralph Wallace Centre, and Mosque Museum. These museums provide understanding of the past for future generations. There are numerous visitors each year from all over Australia and also many from overseas to view our exhibits
